Now, let me tell you something, This is my kinda breakfast and I make this toasts weekly because I personally think this is the easiest, healthy and delicious breakfast or snacks you can make.

I know you might be wondering about the original Bread Toast recipe. well, this is just the vegetarian version of the original recipe. I made this recipe from Gram flour/ besan with some spices and veggies and it turned out fabulous.

Ingredients
  

  • 120 g Gram flour/ Besan
  • 2 Chopped green chilli
  • 1 inch Grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • Salt as required
  • 1/4 tsp Carom seeds
  • 1 Medium sized onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Ttomato (finely chopped)
  • 1-2 tbsp Capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 pinch Baking soda
  • 200 ml Water
  • 5 Bread slices
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Steps to make Besan Toast

STEP 1

In a bowl, add 1 cup (120 g) Besan / Gram flour, 2 chopped green chilli, 1 inch grated ginger, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp Garam masala, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, salt as required, 1/4 tsp carom seeds, 1 finely chopped onion, 2 tbsp finely chopped tomato, 1-2 tbsp finely chopped capsicum, 1tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp lemon juice, 2 pinch baking soda.

STEP 2

Add 1 cup water little by little, while continuing to mix the batter until it becomes thick. (If your batter becomes thin, add a few tablespoons of Besan and mix again).

STEP 3

Heat the pan and add 1-2 tbsp of Vegetable oil or Ghee. turn the flame to low. Dip the bread in the batter properly then Place it on the pan. spread some veggies from batter on top. cover the pan with a lid and cook it for 2-3 mins. (you can drizzle some oil on top also.)

STEP 4

Flip the bread slice and cover the pan. cook till besan/ gram flour gets cooked completely. Take them out and place it in a plate. Repeat the same process with remaining bread slices in the same way.

STEP 5

Serve the Besan Toast immediately with Green chutney or Tomato ketchup to complete your table.
