Homemade Bounty Bars
- 350 ml Raw milk
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 150 gm Desiccated coconut
- Melted chocolate
STEPS TO MAKE BOUNTY BARS
Pour 350 ml raw milk in a heavy bottom pan or kadhai on high flame and bring it to a boil. Afterwards, turn the flame on medium and cook for 5 mins. (Stir often so that milk doesn’t stick at the bottom of the pan.)
Add 1/2 cup sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Now, add 150 gm desiccated coconut and continue to cook on medium flame until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and start to turn into a dough kinda texture. Turn off the flame. Let it cool down for 5 mins.
Scoop a small piece of dough and roll it into a ball and form a rounded rectangle shape. Repeat the same process with the other dough balls. Afterwards, refrigerate for about 1- 1/2 hr. In the meantime, grate or cut the chocolates. Melt the chocolates in the microwave or in a double boiler.
Now, with the help of a fork, dip each coconut bar into chocolate until it is well coated. Remove the rectangle from the melted chocolate and keep on the parchment paper. Refrigerate the bounty bars for 5-10 mins.
Take them out from the refrigerator and cut off the extra edges and Enjoy!! :))
