I’m a huge fan of street foods and a bigger fan of Masala Pav and truth be told, my family loves this recipe more than I do. While we are in our homes, I decided to make y’all quarantine a little more interesting by writing about street food. “Masala Pav”!

you’re welcome! 🙂

I think the key that made this recipe perfect is the veggies (by veggies I meant the trio, onion, capsicum and tomato) and spices which I’ve used in making this masala, that precise amount, made it perfect. Trust me, this masala stuffing is amazingly delicious and full of veggies. If you guys craving for some street food in this lockdown then, go for Masala Pav. You won’t regret it!

STEPS TO MAKE MASALA PAV

STEP 1

In a medium pan, add 1 tbsp butter. Add 2 finely chopped onion before butter melts. Sauté till the onion turns into light pink in colour. Now, add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste. sauté for a min on high to medium flame.

STEP 2

Afterwards, add 1 chopped medium-sized capsicum, 2 chopped green chilli and salt to taste (I’m adding 1/2 tsp). Mix well. Now, add 2 chopped tomato and cook for 2 mins.

STEP 3

Add 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder. Mix and add 3- 4 tbsp water. Mix well. Now, mash the mixture by using a potato masher. Now, turn the flame to low and add 1 tbsp chopped coriander. Mix well and shift the Masala to one side of the pan.

STEP 4

Add 1 tsp butter on the other side of the pan. Split the bun open and place it on the top. Toast until both sides surface turns light golden. Afterwards, stuff the cooked masala mixture into the pavs and you’re done!

STEP 5

Serve Masala Pav with some extra masala and raw onions on top!
