So, lets talk about how to make this Jeera Aata Biscuits?
Here’s what you have to do :-
Jeera Aata Biscuits
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 1 tsp Dry fenugreek leaves
- 150 gm Wheat flour
- 4 tbsp Semolina/suji
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 6 tbsp Milk
- Oil for frying
STEPS TO MAKE JEERA AATA BISCUITS
Sauté 1 tsp cumin (jeera) on a low flame for 30 secs. Afterwards, add 1 tsp sesame seeds and 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves (Kasuri methi). Sauté and turn off the flame.
In a large bowl, sift 150 gm wheat flour, 4 tbsp semolina/suji, 1/4 tsp salt and 2 tbsp powdered sugar.
Then, add 3 tbsp vegetable oil and roasted cumin, sesame and fenugreek to it. Mix well.
Afterwards, add 6 tbsp milk little by little and mix to a smooth soft dough. Cover and keep aside.
Now, roll the dough into circular motion until you have a circle with the help of a rolling pin.
For shaping the mixture into rings, cut out a circle by using a medium-sized circle cutter (I’m using a small glass).
Pour the vegetable oil to heavy bottom non-stick on low to medium flame.
When the oil turns hot, gently drop one by one into the oil, After a min, flip them one by one and turn the flame to medium. Fry them until they turn light golden brown.
Take them out and drain the oil. Place them on napkin or paper towel in a plate to absorb excess oil.
Serve Jeera Aata Biscuits with tea in the evening or you can store it in an airtight container for a month. Enjoy!
