Milk Peda/ Mawa Peda
- 1 Litre Raw milk
- 4 tbsp Sugar
STEPS TO MAKE MILK PEDA
Add 3-4 tbsp water in a heavy bottom pan (this will prevent malai from getting stick at the pan). Now, add 1-litre raw milk. turn the flame on medium and bring it to a boil. (Stir often so that milk doesn’t stick at the bottom of the pan.)
When the milk comes to boil, turn the flame low to medium and boil for approx. 25 mins and make sure to stir and scratch from sides every 5 mins or so. Keep stirring until the milk reduces and becomes thick.
Now, add 4 tbsp sugar or sugar as required. continue to cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and start to turn into a paste kinda texture. turn off the flame.
Transfer it to the plate and allow it to cool down or you can place it in the fridge for 15 mins. After it cools down, knead lightly. Now, make round shaped balls from it and flatten slightly.
Garnish with sliced pistachios before serving. 🙂
