Peanut Roll Mithai
- 300 gm Peanuts
- 100 gm Granulated sugar
- 100 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp Pistachios (optional)
STEPS TO MAKE PEANUT ROLL MITHAI
Grind 300 gm roasted peanut to powder. Avoid over-blending or else it will begin to release the oil. Sift it and keep aside.
For making sugar syrup, add 100 gm granulated sugar and 100 ml Water in a kadhai or pan. The flame should be at low and stir till the sugar dissolves. Turn off the flame.
Afterwards, add Peanut powder little by little to the syrup and stir constantly until smooth.
Now, turn on the flame and cook (2 mins would be enough) until the mixture turns like a dough.
Divide the mixture into half and add 1 tbsp cocoa powder in one of them. knead lightly.
Crumble the dough and add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and some sliced pistachios in other dough. use your palm to knead the dough. Now, roll the dough and give it a square shape or whatever shape you desire.
Transfer the chocolate mixture onto the butter paper or aluminium foil and roll the dough with the help of a rolling pin.
Now, place the peanut dough on it and roll gently. towel from narrow end. Refrigerate for 1/2- 1 hour.
Carefully unroll your Peanut Roll Mithai. You can apply edible silver vark if you want. Let it sit for some time.
Cut into thick slices and Enjoy!
