Pudding on your mind?
Ever since the pandemic started and our visits to the market have become less frequent, I’ve been trying to make some easy and quick recipes with fewer ingredients.
So, today I’m sharing one of my favourite desserts of all time that literally can be made in less than 5 mins, that is: Toast pudding
Homemade Toast pudding can be made with a couple of ingredients and takes only 5 minutes to make. Trust me, I could eat this Toast pudding every day. Even, my family now have been asking me to make it, again and again. you guys have to try this, at least once because this recipe will definitely put a smile on anyone’s face.

- 3 cup Milk
- 1.5 tbsp Custard powder
- 70 g Granulated sugar
- Pistachios and walnuts (For garnishing)
STEPS TO MAKE TOAST PUDDING
Boil 3 cup milk in a kadhai. save 5 tbsp milk from the cup for later use. Now, add 75 g granulated sugar in the kadhai and stir constantly until sugar dissolves.
Add 1.5 tbsp Custard powder to 5 tbsp milk and mix it. Afterwards, add custard mixture little by little to the boiled milk and stir it continuously.
Once the mixture starts boiling, turn the flame to low. simmer it for 2 mins and turn the flame off. Leave the mixture to cool down at the room temperature.
Place 7 rusks and arrange it in a flat layer in the baking dish. You can break pieces to fill the odd spaces. Pour the Custard on the rusks. Again, arrange 7 more rusks and pour the custard on top of the rusks and evenly spread it to form a layer. Sprinkle some sliced pistachios or almonds or hazelnuts etc.
Refrigerate for 2 hours and boom! Toast pudding is ready to be served!
