How to make vegetable maggi cutlets

STEP 1

Pour 1 cup water in a pan or kadhai and bring it to a boil. Afterwards, add a packet of Maggi, breaking into half and 2 sachet masala Maggi. Cook until the Maggi becomes dry. Turn off the gas and set aside.

STEP 2

In a bowl, add a medium-sized chopped onion, 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 2 chopped green chilli, 1/2 inch grated ginger, 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, 2-3 pinch black salt 2 tbsp rice flour (you can also add cornflour in the place of rice flour) and 2 tbsp besan/gram flour. Mix everything well.

STEP 3

Now, add cooked Maggi in it and by using your hands, mix everything very well. (I’ve added 2 tbsp water in between to make the mixture into a smooth texture.)

STEP 4

Make round patties with palm. You can also flatten the pattis slightly.

STEP 5

In another bowl, add 2 tbsp all-purpose flour and 4-5 tbsp water. Mix and set aside.

STEP 6

Now, take another Maggi packet and crumble raw Maggi. Afterwards, Dip each patty in maida mixture and coat in raw Maggi.

STEP 7

Pour the vegetable oil to heavy bottom non-stick on low to medium flame.

STEP 8

When the oil turns hot, gently drop one by one into the oil, After 2 mins, flip them one by one and turn the flame to medium. Fry them until they turn light brown.

STEP 9

Take them out and drain the oil. Place them on napkin or paper towel in a plate to absorb excess oil.

STEP 10

Serve Vegetable Maggi Cutlets along with ketchup or chutneys.
